ANNOUNCEMENT: Eddy Home Receives RIBO accreditation
Canadian owned and operated Eddy Home is pleased to announce that we have received RIBO accreditation for our educational course.
RIBO, or the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario organization, is the licensing body for all insurance brokers in the province. All brokers are required to complete 10 hours of continuing education credits. Eddy Home’s free of charge RIBO accredited course offers 2 hours of training in the Technical category, through an in-person, instructor led seminar.
Course participants will discuss the growing concerns of homeowners on water damage, insurance industry motivation to mitigate risk and educate consumers, and how technology can substantially reduce homeowners’ risk of water damage.
“We’re thrilled to be recognized by RIBO for our training and advice to Ontario Insurance Brokers,” commented Venky Weylagro, VP of Sales and Marketing at Eddy Home. “Brokers protect their clients, so there’s a natural fit to their focus and the water monitoring and leak prevention our products provide.”
Water is the number one risk facing homeowners today, and it continues to be a major source of concern for insurers and brokers alike. Homeowners can mitigate their risks with smart home water monitoring and sensing solutions, which provide an alert if a water issue is detected. Many leading insurance companies offer discounts of up to 15% to policy holders for the installation of Eddy Home’s devices.
