LoRa, a Low-Power Wide-Area Network (LPWAN) technology created by Semtech, with deployments in Europe, Asia, and now North America, is poised to become the backbone of future smart infrastructure and smart cities. Low-Power means sensors can now operate for years without needing service and Wide-Area means broader coverage areas up to hundreds of square kilometers.
