Eddy Solutions appoints Boris Baril as Chief Financial Officer

Eddy Smart Home Solutions Inc. ("Eddy Solutions"), a leading North American provider and distributor of residential and commercial smart water metering products and related technologies, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Boris Baril to the position of Chief Financial Officer.

A track record of taking companies public

Boris Baril joined Eddy on June 14, 2021 from Firm Capital Mortgage Investment Corporation (TSX: FC), where he served as Chief Financial Officer, alongside the role of Group CFO at Firm Capital Organization. Before Firm Capital he was Chief Financial Officer of Planet Energy, a privately held gas and power retailer operating across Canada and the United States.

Earlier, as Vice President of Finance at Crius Energy (TSX: KWH), Boris Baril supported the company's $100 million initial public offering. As Vice President of Finance at Universal Energy (TSX: UGE), he helped grow the business to annualized revenues over $700 million and 575,000 customers, supported a $143 million IPO and a subsequent $90 million convertible debenture offering, and was closely involved in the transition after Universal Energy's sale to Just Energy.

Boris Baril is a graduate of York University and holds the CPA, CA designation.
