Smart meter and automatic shutoff valve
Eddy IQ
A smart ultrasonic water meter and automatic shutoff on the LoRaWAN protocol. Accurately measure flow, detect leaks and bill for water consumption, with automatic and remote shutoff built in.

Eddy IQ uses flow logic algorithms to identify continuous low flow, continuous water use and extreme water use patterns. Volume reports stream minute-by-minute, so the monitoring center has the data it needs to support response while the building team is already on it.
The same hardware ships consumption data for utility partners and submeter billing. One device covers protection, metering and monitoring center integration.
Monitoring and shutoff in one unit
Catch the leak, then close the valve.
Eddy IQ watches the building's flow signature on every main and flags the anomaly the moment the rate breaks the baseline. The same meter carries an integrated shutoff valve, so a flow threshold or a sensor trigger closes the water automatically, with the monitoring center on the line.
Flow steady. The monitoring center is watching.
What it does
Three flow patterns, distinct alerts
Continuous low flow at 0.1 LPM. Continuous use at 2 LPM for 30 minutes. Extreme use at 20 LPM for 5 minutes. Each pattern routes through its own automation.
Automatic remote shutoff
On a flow alert, the integrated valve closes itself. The monitoring center confirms the action and notifies the property team in minutes.
Submeter-grade accuracy
0.1 LPM accuracy, no loss over time. Pressure loss stays under 63 KPa. The same device that protects the building bills the suite.
LoRaWAN backbone
915 MHz LoRaWAN penetrates concrete and steel where Wi-Fi and cellular fail. Compatible with other LoRaWAN smart-building devices on the same network.
Battery backup built in
Lithium battery for continuous metering plus an external 48 to 72 hour backup keep the device live through power outages.
Eddy platform integration
Every reading and event flows into the Eddy Dashboard and the monitoring program. Two variants ship: V2 LoRaWAN and an M-Bus variant with wired plus wireless on DN20.
Where it fits
Eddy IQ installs on the main feed and at zone-level shutoffs in retrofits and new construction. It is the device Eddy specifies first when an asset needs flow-based detection plus automatic isolation.
Multi-family main feeds
Riser-level isolation in concrete towers and mid-rise residential portfolios.
Commercial mechanical rooms
Boiler and HVAC line protection in office and mixed-use buildings.
Construction project mains
Temporary risers during fit-out, with Eddy's monitoring center with Eddy from day one.
Submetering and consumption billing
M-Bus variant pairs LoRaWAN telemetry with wired billing readouts on DN20.
