Automatic shutoff
- A sensor on another floor reports water.
- A shutoff rule sends the close command to Eddy Link.
- Eddy Link drives the actuator and the valve closes.
- Operators call your property contacts through the escalation protocol.
Automatic shutoff is set per project. Some sites use human-coordinated isolation instead.
Remote shutoff
- Your team taps close in the Eddy dashboard.
- The command reaches Eddy Link through the building's gateway.
- The actuator turns and the flow stops.
The monitoring center can also close or reopen a valve at your request.
Restoring water
- The valve reopens and flow returns.

What it does
Eddy Link connects a building's larger lines to the Eddy monitoring center. It drives motorized shutoff valves up to 18 inches, reads water meters and routes everything through 915 MHz LoRaWAN.
Every Eddy deployment includes a shutoff valve connected to Eddy Link. Eddy provisions and configures the valves and meters the Link runs, so they join detection and response on one program.
Drives motorized valves
5-wire or 4-wire control drives shutoff valves up to 2 inches (DN50) on USB power and up to 18 inches (DN450) on 24 V DC. Eddy provisions and configures each valve.
Reads the water meter
A meter cable connects to the meter's register, so odometer and volumetric flow data stream to Eddy. Eddy provisions and configures each meter.
LoRaWAN backbone
915 MHz long-range radio, fully compatible with other LoRaWAN smart-building devices on the same network.
Backup power
LiPo internal battery keeps the controller live during outages so a power loss does not become an alert gap.
Pressure-transmitter input
Optional 4–20 mA pressure transmitter input enables pressure monitoring through the same controller. Available on request.

Installation
What an Eddy Link install looks like.
Eddy Link mounts near the valve and meter it controls. It drives the motorized valve, reads the meter and reports wirelessly over LoRaWAN. Eddy provisions and configures the valve and meter with it.

- Eddy Link wires to a motorized shutoff valve with 5-wire or 4-wire control. It drives valves up to 18 inches on 24 V DC, or up to 2 inches on 5 V USB.
- A meter cable connects it to the water meter's register. Eddy provisions and configures the valve and meter with the Link.
- A 4 to 20 mA pressure transmitter can be connected on request.
- It takes power from a standard 110 V receptacle, has a LiPo backup battery and reports wirelessly over two-way 915 MHz LoRaWAN, a signal that passes through concrete and steel, to the Eddy Gateway.
- The gateway connects to the Eddy cloud over Ethernet or LTE, which feeds the dashboard, alerts and a read-only API. The API can't open or close valves. Valve commands come from the dashboard, a rule or the monitoring center.
