Eddy Solutions
Healthcare and institutional

Protect patient care, equipment and continuity, day and night.

Hospitals, clinics and long-term care facilities cannot afford a missed alert. Eddy's 24/7 monitoring center is escalation-aligned to clinical workflows, with construction-to-operations coverage that protected a 22-storey hospital tower across 655 devices and a 320-bed long-term care home across every bed.

Risk profile

An MRI offline is a per-day problem.

Water damage is the leading cause of non-weather property loss in commercial buildings. In a hospital, the cost of a single event includes patient relocation, infection-control protocols and equipment downtime.

Eddy's monitoring center is staffed by operators trained on healthcare workflows. Zone isolation contains the incident at the wing or riser so patient wings stay open while facilities responds.

Same network, every phase

Construction through occupancy on one program.

Hospital construction projects are complex, multi-phase and high-profile. Eddy installs at temporary risers during fit-out and the same hardware transitions to permanent monitoring after substantial completion. One vendor, one reporting chain, no second install at handover.

Clinical-aligned escalation

Operators trained on healthcare workflows escalate to facilities, security and emergency contractors per the runbook.

Construction through operations

Same hardware on day one and day five hundred. Builder's risk and operating carrier reports come from one continuous chain.

GLP-compatible records

Every event is timestamped, located and logged for accreditation review and carrier renewal on the same document set.

Coverage map for Healthcare

01 Detect: Two ways to find a leak before it finds a unit.

Eddy detects water through two layers running in parallel. Point-of-leak sensors sit where leaks happen: common areas and mechanical rooms (including elevator pits), inside suites at high-risk appliances, and behind walls at the risers that hide damage until cascade. Flow-based detection runs continuously at meters across the building, flagging continuous low flow, continuous use and extreme use against thresholds learned from your building's baseline.

Point-of-leak
  • COMMON: Common & mechanical areas (incl. elevator pits)
  • AMENITY: Pool, gym, spa decks
  • IN-SUITE: Out-of-wall at laundry, kitchen, baths
  • RISERS: In-wall domestic risers (concealed)
  • HVAC + FAN COILS: Concealed HVAC sources
Flow-based
  • SUITE METERING: Per-unit submetering + leak detection (LEED-eligible)
  • BUILDING USAGE: Main consumption monitoring
  • H&C MAKE-UP: Closed-loop heating/cooling

02 Control: Valves that close the water before it closes the unit.

Detection without action is just an alert. Every sensor or meter event can trigger a valve, automatically on threshold or remotely from the dashboard. Eddy IQ is the all-in-one meter and valve for ¾"–1" lines. Eddy Link drives third-party shutoff valves up to 18" for everything larger.

  • MAIN VALVE: Building point-of-entry shutoff
  • ZONE VALVES: Riser and zone isolation
  • HVAC SHUTOFF: Heating/cooling closed-loop
  • SUITE VALVE: Per-suite shutoff (Smart Metering add-on)

03 Respond: A live monitoring center that closes the loop.

Eddy's 24/7 monitoring center confirms every alert, escalates per your contact list and stays on the line until the water is off and the on-site team has eyes on it.

  • AUTOMATION: Configurable rules per zone & time-of-day
  • LIVE OPERATORS: Trained humans, every event
  • ESCALATION: Per-contact-list escalation
  • SUBMETERING: Per-unit billing & conservation reporting
